FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
The Auckland Pet & Animal Expo holds animal welfare as the main priority. As a visitor to the show, we ask that your dog/pet remains at home with adequate food, water and shelter. This is a human show to celebrate all things PETS and we encourage you to share the spoils when you return home.

Parking: FREE street parking on Puriri Drive and in Cornwall Park. There is onsite parking at the Auckland Showgrounds. https://asbshowgrounds.co.nz/car-parking/
Onsite Parking rates/charges are not controlled by Senior Events, organisers of the Auckland Pet & Animal Expo. This is at the discretion of the Auckland Showgrounds.
Can I bring my dog (pet) to the expo?
NO. As this is a crowd related indoor event, to ensure the safety of all animals, your dog/pet needs to stay at home with adequate food, water and shelter.
There are many reasons for this, but the primary reason is the safety and wellbeing of your dog/pet. We cannot ensure your loved pets all stay safe and out of reach from our younger visitors curious grasp and quick actions (think hugging too tightly and ear pulling). In addition, we simply cannot service every pet owner bringing their dog/pet, so to be fair and equitable to all, we have made a rule which covers every attendee without bias.
Arriving with a pet will decrease your time within the show as you’ll need to take your fur or feathered friend home. Pets that are bought to the event and left outside, tied up or in cars, will be reported to the relevant authority. This is a human show to celebrate all things PETS and we encourage you to share the spoils when you return home.
Is my assistance dog welcome?
Whilst we ask that pets are left at home (i.e. this is a pet show for humans to enjoy and take the spoils home to their pet-friends), assistance dogs are most welcome.
We ask for the assistance dogs to wear their clearly marked jackets from the organisation that qualified it. If a jacket is not available, and it is not obvious to the front of house staff that the dog is indeed an assistance dog, you may be asked for your documentation. Please note, this will be done with complete discretion and will only be the case if it is not clear to the staff member or volunteer.
Will there be animals at the show?
The Pet Show will showcase animals from the following areas: dogs, cats, birds, small animals, reptiles, alpacas and more... You will be able to view and interact with a variety of pets/animals on exhibitors stands.
What can I expect to see and do at the show?
The Auckland Pet & Animal Expo will give you the opportunity to experience all things PETS and Pawsitive Pet Parenting. We'll have educational presentations, entertainment, free samples, café and more…
